You can grow almost anything in a place they call the 'nation's breadbasket.' Grapes, figs, cotton, almonds, olives. Happy families.

This blog glimpses good things about living in the San Joaquin Valley. Even the sunshine and desert heat.

Fresno is a great place to call home.

Fresno also might be the perfect place to call it quits.

Other corners of the world await discovery. Penn Hills, Quito, Captiva, Lago Vista.

Maybe it's time to pay a visit to unseen places - get a new permanent address.

As swell as Fresno is right now, how much longer will she suit? Another year? A lifetime?

How about one brief season.

Seriously.

This year. This could be 'My Last Summer in Fresno.'
